Tasting Profile
The 2021 36 is Tony’s rockstar selection from the best Blueline Estate wines. A mere 5 barrels were created this year. Cabernet (69%) remains the lead varietal, but in ’21 Petit Verdot (29%) played a more significant role lending a weight and power unmatched in previous vintages. Malbec (2%) rounded out the blend with a bright red fruit aromatic. All three varietals were co-fermented for more precise integration. Rich and intense throughout, the blend is densely woven with aromas of black currant, brown butter, sweet oak and flavors of black cherry, smoked wild game and cigar box. The 36 is aromatically explosive with a weighted tension and sweet subtle tannins providing a balanced mouth feel.
